Our Stay at the Omni Barton Creek!

I am feeling very well rested after this weekend getaway and ready for a short week:) We had such a great stay at the Omni Barton Creek in Austin that I wanted to share our experience here for others that might be looking to getaway! There is so many different things to do at the Omni we ended up staying on campus all weekend.

The Omni Barton Creek was only opened a couple weeks ago after $150 million evolution into the most luxurious resort in the Lone Star State. The resort is now a 493-room Hill Country retreat that is perfect for a family or couple getaway!

It’s only 3.5 hours from Dallas, 2.5 hours from Austin, and 20 minutes from downtown Austin! It’s the perfect distance to travel just for the weekend. We drove in Friday night and stayed till Sunday afternoon. They even let us have a late check out so we could spend extra time by the pool:)

Saturday we woke up early to get a round of golf in and then spent the rest of the day by the pool ordering from the pool bar. Then later that night we got dressed up went to Bob’s Steak house for dinner and roasted marshmallows by the fire with a glass of wine.

Sunday morning we had a later start but stopped by the Texas Spice for a buffet breakfast. Then we worked out and laid by the pool for a couple hours before heading home! Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the beautiful spa they had but I have a feeling I will be back;)

Amenities

Golf Courses: 4 newly renovated championship courses. We played on the Canyon and the views were incredible! Jeremy was living his best self haha!
Mokara Spa: 13,000 square-foot sanctuary features 17 treatment rooms, three couples’ treatment rooms and a variety of services. It also has an exclusive, adult-only, rooftop pool and garden that overlooks the expansive Texas Hill Country.
Pools: 3 different pools to relax in and soak up some rays! We grabbed a couple of drinks at the pool bar and laid out for the afternoon. They also have cabana’s to reserve as well!

Dining

Bob’s Steak and Chop House: Ate here Saturday night! WOW oh WOW! Order any of the steaks! Jeremy and I both rolled out of there after stuffing our faces with their delicious food.
Crenshaw’s Bar and Eatery: Friday night we grabbed a drink and snack here! If you go order the Brisket sandwich… you will not regret it!
Jim Bob’s Lobby Lounge: Ordered a drink from here while we sat outside and enjoyed the views!
Nopales: latin restaurant with fun cocktails and sits next to the pool! We ate here for lunch on Saturday.
Velvet Joe’s: On campus coffee house. Grabbed a cup before heading golfing and driving home!
