Being Balanced

Lululemon Top // Lululemon Leggings // Nike Tennis Shoes // Apple Watch // Wireless Beats

When I sat down to initially write this post I wanted to bring you some profound life balance trick that I had found to juggling everything! But here we are still struggling between working a full time job, going to school full time, running this blog during the nights and somehow finding time to be healthy. So what is the point in writing this blog post you might ask?

I love the idea of sharing and talking through things that everyone struggles with! Who manages to balance life? Unless you have 3 assistants, a hair and make up team and 15 different calendars I don’t see how this could possibly be achieved. But the great thing about this online community is that we have the opportunity to share what our experiences are, allowing for feedback about what others have found to work.

For me, it’s all about knowing myself. I know I can get up at 5 am and work until midnight during the week as long as I know I will have plenty of rest on the weekends. I have to work out at least 3 times a week or else my energy level sinks quickly throughout the week. When my energy is low I get grumpy and I don’t have the same level of passion about my work. I have to write down a to-do list every single morning to make sure I am on track to completing tasks.

Besides knowing things about myself and how I live my daily routine, taking time to step back from everything at least once a week gives me the balance that I need. The way I step back from this crazy schedule I live is by working out mentally and physically. I unplug and plug in my headphones and put my phone away. I find this hour or even 30 minutes without being go go go helps me be balanced. While traveling in Hawaii we went to a lot of places that did not have phone service. It was during those times that I found the most peace in myself. Which inspired me to bring this topic to the blog to discuss.

Everyone of you live busy lives so I would love to hear how you “Be Balanced” with your schedule? Do you find yourself running to the nail salon once a week? Is it sitting watching Netflix’s? Cooking dinner at night? While working out is my go to since it forces me to put my phone away and releases endorphin’s, I also would love to find other ways to balance out my life. So please feel free to share in the comments as I would love to have a discussion more about how we can support one another through this crazy thing called life:)

haha a new pair of shoes never hurt no one 😉 But I completely relate to finding that new balance. My life has changed so much over the past couple years and every time I feel like I have to start up a new routine and it always takes a little while to get back into balancing everything!

I totally agree — finding balance is hard! Like you exercising is one of my happy places. I also like to turn off my email on the weekends and sometimes use apps to keep me off Facebook and the like. Being in the moment is truly where it’s at!

I need to try turning my emails off during the weekend. That will be really helpful in letting go of the stress of the week during the weekend! Thank you for sharing:)

I really don’t know how you all do it! I can barely keep up with myself so you are a angel for being able to balance all of that! Might need to get some tips from you one day way in the future;)

It gets so hard to try and make sure everything gets done in a day! I find laying out my week on Sunday really helps me balance what needs to get done now or what can wait. Sometimes (especially blog work) I want to finish it now so I can check it off my to-do list but in reality it can wait for a couple days.

Finding balance is key to everything! It’s nice to be unplugged from the world, I try and unplug around 30 minutes each day so I can focus on everything else.

Love this! Sometimes all it takes it just 30 minutes to take a set back and do something you want to do to bring a little balance into ones life:)

First off – you look gorgeous!!! Second finding balance is so so hard. I try to get everything done including the gym either early in the morning or as soon as I get home then I spend at least an hour or two every night with no phone or laptop near me while Russell and I watch our favorite shows. It is so peaceful and relaxing to not focus on anything for a couple of hours.

I love your honesty in this post. I expected it to be another “I found the answer to life” kind of post, but instead you were just real with us and … relatable. So thank you for that! I’m grateful to know you’re human haha! I might not have found perfect balance because I struggle with some serious health issues that keep me bedridden for weeks at a time, BUT I do my best on my good days to keep busy and motivated!
