Happy Monday! I know your probably wondering why I am already styling Memorial Weekend look… Well it might be 2 weeks away but there are so many cute dresses that I had to share:) Just like this button up dress from Nordstrom! I find Memorial Weekend to be the starting point of summer so I found this dress to be quite appropriate for the occasion. Everyone is heading out to the lake, pool or beach for the weekend so I wanted to style an easy look for all!

This TopShop Dress is a ripped material which makes it light weight and easy to wear anywhere. It’s fairly casual too so I paired it with white sneakers! Just a little side note, these shoes are AMAZING! I thought they looked a lot like converse at first but went ahead and got them anyway. They really surprised me because they actually look way more feminine and cute than I thought they would! Plus they are super comfy for running around town.
Anyway back to the dress! It is right on point with the latest trend because a button up dress is everything right now. It also ties on the shoulders for a dainty look. Which you know I love:) Because of the ripped material it is super bouncy!
Being festive with clothing you have can challenging though, just like Memorial Weekend looks. I am always the one that wants to go all out but hesitate when I see price tags. But you can definitely turn everyday clothing into festive wear! I would say all you need is a statement color, like red, blue or white. Then add on accessories such as lipstick, earrings, shoes and a purse for the other colors! I didn’t think this dress was super special until I grabbed a red bandana and some white shoes. Remember, simple accessories can be the key to creating a festive look from everyday pieces:)
Hope everyone is starting their week off on the right foot! I feel like this weekend has flown by, unfortunately. I have been spending a ton of time planning for our Europe trip and worrying about getting everything perfect. So much to do such little time haha.
We will be spending Memorial Weekend in Austin for the second year! Maybe we will make this a thing haha. Jeremy and I both love Austin a lot so I am excited for the plans we have:) What’s your plan for Memorial Weekend? Would love to hear in the comments!
