The Making Off My Master Bed!

Bedframe: Birch Lane // Duvet + Shams: Amazon // Sheets: Amazon // Decor Pillow: H&M // Bolster: Home Made (Similar HERE)

I am so excited to share my {completed} bed with y’all today! If you follow me on instagram then you know how long this took haha. I bought the bed frame right when I moved in and then had the duvet plus pillows soon after. It took me almost 2 months to get a mattress… I was struggling to say the least! I ended up just going to NFM (Nebraska Furniture Mart) with my Mom one day after work and they had a couple on sale. So I grabbed the one I thought I would like the best. Turns out it’s really hard to get out of bed in the morning now haha. It’s way to cozy!!

To King or to Queen? Let’s start with how I chose my bed size because this was where everything started. I really wanted a king size but after much thought I realized I would probably only have this bed for a year or so. Whenever Jeremy and I decide to move in together, we will have to upgrade to a California King as Jeremy is 6’4. Eventually this will become the guest bed in the house so I didn’t need to get something too big.

Once I knew the size, I searched high and low for a bed that was modern but still had a cottage/darling feel. This one from Birch Lane caught my eye and I have never looked back haha. I adore the head board and the foot board. The shaped of both are so dainty!

The bedding was an easy step for me and one I found really quickly with good old Amazon! I knew I wanted a white duvet with ruffles to add that girly feel. This one is such a great price and looks just like the one from more expensive places. I have zero complaints so far about it!

Next came the blush pillows and to be honest I could have spent over $100 on decor pillows but to me it wasn’t worth it. So I opted for these H&M blush velvet pillow cases and then ran to Ikea to grab goose feather inserts. The pillows are $9 and the inserts were $6… not too shabby for a total of $15!!

Picking out my sheets surprisingly came a lot faster than I thought. I was worried I was going to be stuck trying to decide between white or white. Then I was scrolling through Pinterest trying to get some bedding ideas that reminded me of the english country side. Then bam, SAGE! It was everywhere and I ordered this set right off Amazon.

Lastly, the bolster pillow! I wanted to bring in a fun print into the room without going over the top. Since the room had a cottage feel, I loved the idea of having an animal print. My mom and I made this bolster to fit the bed the way I wanted it. But I have linked below and above very similar ones!

That is all for now:) Thank you for stopping by and spending some of your day with me! Let me know if you have questions about anything you see.
