Our Wedding Invitations From Shine Wedding Invitations!

Happy #weddingwednesday! I just got back all my wedding photos (YAY!) and wanted to start with sharing some of the details first. When I first started to plan our wedding, I really wanted to go with something that was classic, timeless and elegant. A theme that would age well and reminded me of one of my favorite places in the world… the English countryside. The invitations to your wedding really set the tone for what guests can expect at your wedding. I wanted to make sure that theme was very apparent in our invitations and found that Shine Wedding Invitations was the perfect place to design my invites.

I had found Shine Wedding Invitations a couple years ago through Instagram. As I was starting to look for a place to create my invites, I remembered I had saved one of their pictures and found myself still so in love with their invitations. I loved that everything was classic and that touch of simple. They had a selection of different fonts, papers, ribbons, bands and wax seals that could be combined to make the most beautiful invitations.

THE DESIGN PROCESS

To get started, I simply utilized the Shine Wedding Invitations clean and simple website to navigate the different wedding invitation options. They have a section under “Get Started” on what to include in your invitations which was a huge help for me. Then once I found the option that I liked, I was able to place a sample order to see how it would look all together in person. The samples include invitations, response cards, belly band, wax seal, color chart and anything else you would need to have to be able to design your perfect wedding invitation.

Since I had never gone through the process of designing invitations before I found it so special that Shine Wedding Invitations have consultants you can work with one on one. We emailed back and forth throughout the design process, changing wording, making updates and I was able to ask her for her expert opinion. She sent me updates of changes through email so I could review everything. They have an easy template to fill out to get addresses in the proper format (I used Postable to collect addresses from everyone). Before you agree to the final approval, make sure to have someone you trust review over your final invitation for you. It is really time consuming but it will save you a lot of money in the long run, if something is incorrect.

ASSEMBLING THE INVITATIONS

Once everything was finalized, it took a couple weeks for everything to come in. The most beautiful box arrived with everything organized perfectly. Shine Wedding Invitations provides an assembled invitation example and then instructions on how to put the invitations together. I invited my maid of honor over for a wine night, white wine only, and we spent the evening putting invitations together while chatting! It was such a fun experience to have with her and with the two of us doing it everything went a lot faster.

LOVE IS PATIENT

Many of you who have been following along for some time know we ended up postponing our wedding due to Covid. Without going into the whole story, you can find that HERE, our original wedding was planned for May 16th, 2020. We were about 2 months away when Covid hit. It was a hard decision and caused me a lot of anxiety. The one thing that wasn’t hard to adjust was the invitations. Once we set a new date, Shine Wedding Invitations worked with me to design a beautiful postponed card to send to everyone. We chose “Love is Patient” as our heading because at the time our patience was being tested but we knew that we needed to be patient and in the end we would be married.
