My Favorite Work Wear Heels & Flats!

“Dress for the job you want, not the job you have.”

Monday’s post was such a hit, I wanted to keep these basics going throughout the week:) I had so much fun putting the “Building Up Basics For Work Wear” blog post and this was easily another fun one. Who doesn’t love being surrounded by shoes?

I get a lot of questions about what I chose to wear to work everyday and how do I know what is appropriate! Below I am giving you the insight scoop on my thoughts into picking shoes.

HEELS

If you follow my daily work wear on Instagram stories during the week, you will notice these heels are worn quite often. These are my go-to heels and they are all basic colors. When starting out to build your work heels, I would start with comfy black heels! They are appropriate for interviews as well as important meetings.

My career revolves around meeting clients and knowing my audience. I have opportunities to dress up and opportunities to be more casual. It really depends on who I am seeing that day. I check my schedule in the morning to see who I will be meeting with that day and then decide what’s appropriate.

My pointy toe heels are my very formal shoes for work and normally are worn when I am meetings with executives or senior level people. My chunky heels are my casual heels and are less formal so I can wear them whenever I feel like it.

Note that this is my personal preference and I by no means think you have to wear heels to be professional. I wear formal flats as well.

FLATS

If I had to pick a favorite, I truly don’t believe I could because they each work so well with different work wear outfits! Dressed up or dressed down. I love a good bow on the toe and gold hardware, if you couldn’t notice haha. It adds that extra layer of fun to any work look! Having different shades of neutrals really helps to diversify my closet and give opportunity to mix and match.

I love to invest in my shoes and purchase more pricey ones. They are something I wear everyday so I want to wear something comfy and stylish. It really does make a huge difference in comfort. My more expensive shoes are my most worn because they are so comfy! The less expensive ones are the flats are great too but they were the more out there shoes. They aren’t necessarily “staple” flats.

Hope you enjoyed this post! Have a great rest of your week:)
