My Charleston Bachelorette Party

This past weekend, my friends and I headed to Charleston for my bachelorette party! I was contemplating so many different places like Las Vegas, Scottsdale, Nashville, and LA. But I had already been to most of those so I thought it would be so much fun to explore another city! Charleston is a place I had always wanted to go so I thought it would be a great opportunity for my bachelorette party.

While we were there I was able to share a lot of what we ended up doing on Instagram. I had a number of requests for a blog post of everything we did so below I have categorized how we planned, where we stayed, what we did and where we ate! Basically all the essentials haha.

PLANNING MY CHARLESTON BACHELORETTE PARTY

My maid of honor did an amazing job planning the weekend! She thought of literally everything and I was so blown away. But planning a bachelorette party can be super stressful so we used The Bach App to help. The app isn’t just for planning in Charleston but other popular bachelorette party cities as well! You can communicate with all the girls, vote on polls, split payments, find activities, and organize the itinerary!! It also gives you suggestions of activities to do in the city.

WHERE WE STAYED FOR MY CHARLESTON BACHELORETTE PARTY

If I am being honest finding a place to stay was a huge challenge. It wasn’t until we got there that we realized why. We had 4 Airbnb’s cancel on us and we were so confused on what was going on. A quick google search would have found that it was Charleston’s Wine and Food Festival all weekend! Make’s sense on why nothing was available close to King’s Street now haha.

We stayed in an Airbnb that is owned by a rental group called Luxury Simplified Retreat! They have multiple different properties all over Charleston but we picked THIS ONE HERE. They were incredible and the place was absolutely gorgeous. The instructions were well thought out and they were really relaxed about everything.

We wanted to be close to King’s Street as that was where all the bars and restaurants were. Since we had a larger group, we wanted it to be accessible to walk if necessary!

WHAT TO DO FOR CHARLESTON BACHELORETTE PARTY

Rooftop Hopping: Thankfully the weekend we were there the sunshine was out the whole time! It was perfect for rooftop hopping:) These are the ones we went to and absolutely loved. A couple are hotels but if you ask the front desk they will let you go up! The Dewberry (PERSONAL FAVORITE), Market Pavilion Hotel, The Vendue Hotel, Hotel Bennett.

Photoshoot: When you think of Charleston what do you think of?? Rainbow Row! We met LeeAnn from Chuck Town Art on Sunday at Rainbow Row. She captured some group photos and single photos that I will cherish forever!! The pictures are the ones I shared above and they turned out fantastic. I was nervous about making everyone do a photoshoot but it was such a great opportunity to capture some special moments. If you are looking for a photographer I highly recommend booking LeeAnn! She was so helpful in posing us and making the whole experience so much fun!!

Sunset Sail: Schooner Pride is the sailing company we used! They were amazing!! It was a little chilly on the water so they brought us blankets, they were stocked with wine and answered questions about the town. The sunset was absolutely stunning and a moment I will never forget. We also got to see Dolphins!! Just note you can bring food on the boat but you can’t bring alcohol. They provide that for you.

Shop on King’s Street: There is so much shopping to be done on King’s Street! We started at the bottom of King’s Street and walked up the street popping into various boutiques and larger stores. You could spend hours going through all the stores honestly.

WHERE WE ATE ON MY CHARLESTON BACHELORETTE PARTY

**Highly recommend making reservations ahead of time everywhere you go if you have a large group.

Republic Garden & Lounge: This was the first place we went to as soon as we got into town! We sat on the patio and it was beautiful. The food was really good but the alcohol deal was even better! We split a punch bowl between the 7 of us that had arrived early. It was massive and was so good! They also do deals on certain days where the punch bowl is half off so between all of us it was super cheap. Also, if you watch Southern Charm we saw Kathryn Dennis here!!

Butcher & Bee: We went here for breakfast on Saturday! I would definitely make reservations here. It was packed! We had reservations and we still had to wait a while. They were super accommodating though and offered free drinks and appetizers since we had to wait. The food was soooo good but very different!

Basic Kitchen: Probably a favorite from the weekend! The food was really healthy and the cocktails were good too. It’s definitely a place I would stop by on you walk up King’s Street!

The Vendue Hotel: This is a rooftop restaurant that over looks the water and the city! It was beautiful up there and we didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend the fish tacos and a pimms cup!

Shem Creek Bar & Grill: This recommendation came from the crew on the sunset sail! It felt more like locals in this restaurant which was super unique. The place isn’t “instagramable” per say but the food was amazing! This is also a really popular area for locals to go out during the weekend. There are a couple other bars and restaurants on the same street!

Felix: I put this one last because I wasn’t a fan. It wasn’t anything we were expecting and the food wasn’t that great. It was really unique food but when it came it was tiny haha. I need a full meal if I am going to pay those prices! A lot of people recommended so I wanted to put it here if you wanted to try it.

If you live in Charleston or have been, I would love if you could leave a comment below for others to see recommendations:)
