Life & Blog Update

Hi y’all and welcome to my new site!! I spent all week last week working on making this perfect for you:) This blog has grown so much since when I started and I love looking back at the different stages it has been through! I had wanted this space to be the perfect place for you to come to find exactly what your looking for. Whether that’s fashion, travel, or beauty, it’s all here right at your fingertips. Also with this space I wanted it to be really bright, natural and airy.

With all that being said, please feel free to explore the new blog and head to the categories in the bar at the top or on the home page to get a better view of everything this place has to offer! But before you go… stick around to read this blog post of a little life updating!!

School

First we will start with the thing that runs my life currently! If you didn’t already know, I am currently getting my Masters of Science in Business Analytics at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. I am learning all about “Big Data” and the different types of analytics that can be used to grow/improve businesses. We code in a couple different languages and learn about a couple programs to make models. Super geeky stuff but I love it:) Technology is my ish and I really geek out over it! It’s a 1 year program and I will be graduating this May!! Honestly can’t believe it went by so fast but also thankful at the same time haha.

Relationship

Jeremy and I just celebrated 3 years being together:) We got to celebrate in Hawaii which was incredibly special and something we will cherish for a very long time. After doing 2.5 years of long distance, we are both living in Dallas now/have been for about 8 months! It has been kind of an adjustment because you get so stuck in your own ways when your far apart and cant see each other. We have definitely learned so much more about each other being in the same city which has had its challenges. People ask if we are planning on moving in with each other soon (I still live at home while I’m getting my masters) and we aren’t in any rush, if I’m being honest. I have big changes coming after I graduate so we will see what happens then!

Career

After I graduate in May, I will be starting a new job as a technology consultant for a big consulting firm! I am very very excited/nervous about it because of all the changes its going to bring in my life. This was actually one of my dream companies to work for so when I got the acceptance letter, I was over the moon! Even though I have never had a real full time salary job before, I have always worked. I worked all through high school, college and now while getting my masters. If there is one thing I would like to think I am, that would be career driven.

Beyond my day to day job, I love to work on my blog and expanding my horizon. If I am being honest I don’t have a “plan” per say about where this blog will go. I just know I love creating content and chatting with y’all! Maybe it could be a career one day or maybe it’s something I just do for fun. Either way I absolutely love this little space and while at times it’s definitely “work” it’s the good kind:)

Travel

Now for the fun stuff, am I right?! I mentioned that 2018 was the year to travel for me. Jeremy and I started off the year in Hawaii, then after Hawaii I got to travel to California and then this coming weekend I will be in Phoenix, AZ!! I am in this transition between gearing up to start a job that could potentially be something I do for a long time. So while I have the freedom I want to take it! A couple places I have been planning to go for 2018 are Chicago, England/Dublin, Charleston and NYC. I would also love to head to the beach but that might have to be a quick weekend getaway (which are my personal favorite)!

I promise this week we will get back to fashion and fun with the posts:) There has been some major slacking going on but I have some incredible brands coming to the blog soon that I can not wait to share! Don’t forget I post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday so definitely be sure to check back:)
