Layering Up For Work

Blazer: Loft // Trench Coat: London Fog // Sweater: Ann Taylor // Pants: Loft // Booties: Joie // Earrings: Emerald & Shea

Chic and warm don’t tend to be two words you put together. During the winter, I find that there has to be a compromise when it comes to staying warm. In below freezing temperatures, I would rather be bundled up with layers of clothing than look chic. I am such a big baby when it comes to the cold. I would like to think I don’t complain about much but I know if I am cold I will be complaining haha.

Thankfully Texas doesn’t have freezing temperatures all the time in the winter but it does it get chilly enough to want to throw an extra layer on. I love layering a blazer with a sweater underneath to style around the office. But when it’s really chilly out I throw this trench coat over the top. It has lining on the inside that can be taken out if not needed.

To complete a full layering look, try adding in some texture to it. My middle layer (the blazer) has a beautiful herringbone texture to it to break the three layers up!

Happy a great work week!
