Hair clips, small sunnies, sweater vests and not so skinny jeans are in! Who thought we would be back here with the trends. While I am not normally one for trying new trends, these I can get behind. They bring back all the preppy things I used to love many years ago.
Last spring sweater vests were kind of a thing and this year I have seen them make a bit more of a comeback. I saw this one on H&M and thought why not try this trend out. To be honest I was a little worried on how I was going to look in this oversized sweater vest. But truth be told, I kind of love it haha. Most of the ways I have seen them styled on Tik Tok/Instagram are very trendy which isn’t really how I dressed. So I wanted to find a way to style with a more classy/preppy vibe!
To bring this look together, I found this oversized white button up from H&M to wear underneath the sweater vest. I buttoned it up all the way and pulled the collar out. Added a necklace under the collar and grabbed my small sunnies from Amazon. Since the sweater vest is oversized, I wanted to have something a bit more fitted on the bottom. I know that if I have something oversized on top, I have to wear something fitted on bottom or else I look a lot larger than I am. I reached for these Banana Republic jeans that are fitted but not skinny jeans!
