A Classic Fall Work Outfit

When I think of fall colors, I immediately think of earthy tones. The creams, nudes, browns, and greens are such classics. I think that is why I tend to gravitate towards these colors for work wear during the fall. If I had to pick one outfit to wear to work throughout the fall, pretty sure this would be it! You can never go wrong with having a trench coat in your fall closet, olive green pants and a light sweater.

To me, there is something so classic about a trench coat during the fall. It goes with most things and fits the weather change from warm to chilly. This trench coat from Banana Republic is made of a cloth material so it is super light to wear. I love that it also wraps around your waist to give a beautiful fitted look! The other trench coats that I have are a little bit heavier in material and work well for those rainy days.

A couple weeks ago, I styled an olive green midi skirt for work and it had to have been one of my more recent favorite looks. Since I loved the olive green skirt, I wanted to try it olive green pants. I found these ones at Banana Republic and absolutely fell in love with the flared fit! Something I always look for in work pants is material that has some sort of stretch to them. That way sitting at a desk or table all day is comfortable. These ones definitely fit that and come up high waisted!

Another classic fall item I love to have in my work closet is fitted sweaters. Ones that can go with work pants and skirts. Once the weather starts to cool down a little bit more, a blouse can be quite chilly so I opt for a sweater instead. I love a good neutral sweater because it can be styled many different ways and with different colors. Which makes it a really good versatile piece to have in your work wear closet.
