Swinging In The New Year

Tank: ASOS // Skirt: Nordstrom // Heels: Red Dress Boutique // Purse: Old! (Similar, Forever21) // Earrings: BaubleBar

Hi Friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day:) I know Christmas was literally yesterday but I wanted to give each of you a chance to shop for your perfect New Years Eve outfit! Sequins is always my go too for NYE but there are a couple other styles that I am linking below.

Whether your planning on going all out for New Years Eve or staying in with some friends while watching the ball drop at midnight getting dressed doesn’t have to be just for everyone going out! For me ringing in the new year dressed my best means I am starting the new year off on the right foot.

Oh also if you look closely you can see I have major goose bumps because it was soooo cold when we shot this look haha. So I would HIGHLY recommend a jacket of some sort for New Years Eve if it’s going to be cold. I wish I had paired a fur jacket with this outfit! I think it would have given it that little bit extra;)

This year I will be spending New Years Eve in a very very exciting place and somewhere I have never ever been before! I won’t give too much away because I want it to be a surprise:)

Merry Christmas from Oh What A Sight

Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you! I hope everyone was visited by Santa;) Even though today is a lot about gifts, I find this day to always be such a special one surrounded by the love from friends and family. In Friday’s post I talked about how thankful I am for the support each of you has given me throughout this past year and I wanted to reiterate that again. I could not do what I love without any of you and for that I am eternally grateful. This blog has grown so much over the past year and I can not wait to see what 2018 brings.

I love the traditions that come out on Christmas day. My family has started a new one only this past year but it is one I am very grateful for. We spend Christmas together at my family’s condo in Colorado. It’s one that I cherish because my siblings and I are all over the place with different schools so being able to go away and be present together is something I love. We all love to ski/snowboard and have been doing it since we were really little so we always end up racing and cutting each other off down the mountain.

I hope each of you have a Merry Christmas filled with lots of joy and happiness.

Below are a couple fun Christmas looks if your looking for some outfit inspiration:) I will also link the full blog post or Instagram picture so you can see where I got each item!

Fancy In Red

Dress: Red Dress Boutique [c/o] // Bow Heels: Red Dress Boutique [c/o] // Clutch: Red Dress Boutique [c/o]

Who else is bouncing off the walls excited for not only Christmas but a long 4 day weekend?! I am writing this on the way to the airport to fly to go see my parents in Colorado for the long Christmas weekend! I am so thankful that my family gets to spend another Christmas together in Colorado:) Speaking of time together, I wanted to say how thankful I am that I get to start my own small business as a blogger and its all because of each of you:) This time of year always brings out the more sappy & sentimental part of me and I truly could not feel more blessed than I do right now. While this year has brought so many challenges it has also brought a lot of blessings and I owe it to a lot of the inspiration and motivation you bring me.

I have clearly had red on my mind for the past couple weeks because my Instagram is filled with it haha. So what’s one more outfit?? This dress from Red Dress Boutique is so fitting for a fancy Christmas or even a New Years party. I personally love the intricate detail of the top of the dress from the high neck to the cinched sleeves. The dress is so beautifully made with a lining underneath and buttons going up the neck. I wore it to my best friends graduation and tons of people asked where it was from! It is definitely a show stopper:)

The fancy red dress is rounded off with a pair of bow heels with a pearl clutch. Both are such elegant pieces. I really wanted to add something very feminine and the bow heels really did it for me:) I love how Red Dress Boutique has a wide variety of styles from very feminine/dainty to more casual wear!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend with friends and family. There is nothing as exciting and sentimental as the days before Christmas.
